Jesus' answer to violence is to turn the additional cheek – not as a demonstration of submissive tolerance, but as a method to teach the attacker; his method regarding offenses indicates that whenever someone steals your jacket you should give him your sweater too.
The apparent and direct truth that the Savior in biblical accounts advocates for a type of radical love focused on the needy has perpetually caused Christian religion rather a provocative belief system: appealing to the populace, but because of its inherent radicalness needing to be controlled.
