Around 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland were left without power on Monday morning after powerful weather events swept through the state, generating powerful gusts reaching 109km/h.

Residents observed substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in certain regions. Weather authorities announced that different parts across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

Emergency crews were attempting to repair electricity service throughout the impacted areas, with dozens of response units working to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Climate Difficulties
Meanwhile, around 1,000 households in Victoria also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area experienced its wettest day in 18 months.
Emergency response teams handled over five hundred calls for help across the area, mostly for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.

During the peak on Sunday, more than twenty-eight thousand electricity consumers in the state were lacking electricity.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tomorrow was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent severe weather risk predicted across multiple regions of both areas.

Medical authorities warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
